Donald Trump – December 20, 2020
TrueNewsblog – TNB
(TrueNewsblog) – Should the Secret Service drag Donald Trump out of the White House if he refuses to leave on January 20, 2021 at 12pm? The Electoral College confirmed Joe Biden’s presidential win on December 15; however, it seems current president Donald Trump is still unwilling to accept defeat.
After more than a month of fighting the results of the election by citing rampant voter fraud without a stitch of evidence, CNN reports Trump told staffers at one point he’d refuse to leave the White House on Inauguration Day, January 20, and had to be “walked down from that ledge.”
“He’s throwing a fucking temper tantrum,” one White House staffer said, per CNN. “He’s going to leave. He’s just lashing out.” Even if that’s true, is it any wonder the guy who said he was “entitled” to a third term in office is reportedly having a meltdown over leaving before a second?
Trump previously promised to leave the White House should the Electoral College confirm Joe Biden’s victory, although his statement came off less than reassuring. “Certainly I will, and you know that,” he replied to a reporter during his November tiny-desk press conference. “But I think there will be a lot of things happening between now and the 20th of January. A lot of things. Massive fraud has been found. We’re like a third-world country.”
When asked if he would attend the Biden inauguration, he replied, “I know the answer to that, but I don’t want to say it yet.”
The Biden campaign, however, does not seem too concerned about exchanging house keys with Donald Trump. “As we said on July 19th, the American people will decide this election,” Andrew Bates, a representative for Biden’s campaign, said in a statement on November 6. “And the United States government is perfectly capable of escorting trespassers out of the White House.”
Now that’s something people on Twitter would like to see. “Does the Secret Service or the National Guard need help dragging Trump out of the WH on January 20th?” one user asked.
